Interestingly, Rafa Benitez has managed to save Newcastle United from the depths of despair without any real backing, as the January transfer window only provided the Magpies with three loan signings. So, the Spaniard will be desperate to add to his current squad in the summer transfer window, but this will all depend on whether Mike Ashley can provide enough funds.
Indeed, it looks as if the Magpies are already edging closer to their first signing of the summer transfer window, as loan star Martin Dubravka is closing in on a permanent move to St James’ Park. Although, the club’s business won’t stop there as a number of other players may be making their way to Tyneside, as there are lots of improvements to be had before the start of next season.

Interestingly, the Englishman’s contract runs out in the summer as a move away from the Emirates looks likely, with the Magpies possibly swooping in for the central midfielder upon expiry.
Nevertheless, Newcastle should look to bring the 26-year-old to St James’ Park in the summer transfer window, as an experienced midfielder that has the ability to become one of their star men.
Bas Dost
Surprisingly, Bas Dost has established himself as one of the most prolific strikers in world football so far this season, as he continues to deliver both in Europe and domestically for current club Sporting Lisbon.
Indeed, the Dutchman is enjoying arguably the best season in his career thus far with a move to the Premier League being just reward, but not being able to provide European football may be a drawback for the Magpies.
Therefore, Newcastle shouldn’t hesitate in bringing the striker to St James’ Park in the summer, as a proven goalscorer that can guarantee a prolific season at the pinnacle of the attack.
