El Ghazi and Adomah need to seek immediate improvements at Aston Villa

Aston Villa were a mixed bag under Steve Bruce and things haven’t exactly changed that much since his departure, with a play-off spot still currently out of reach.

The Villains managed to make a big statement last time out by securing an emphatic victory over automatic promotion contenders Derby Count at Pride Park.

However, the Englishman has had to deal with a couple of underperformers during his short time at the club, which certainly hasn’t helped his cause. This problem needs to be sorted out almost immediately as it could affect their push for a play-off spot, with supporters feeling slightly concerned.

With that in mind, these TWO Aston Villa players must be hated by the fans…

ALBERT ADOMAH

Albert Adomah has been one of the most consistent performers for the Villains in seasons gone by, but this season has been an exception as he continues to offer very little in the final third.

The winger is still waiting for his first goal in the current campaign, which comes as some surprise as the 30-year-old managed to find the back of net 15 times last season.

So, with the Villains currently trailing behind in the race for a play-off place, it’s about time Adomah started to prove his worth in the side.

ANWAR EL GHAZI

Anwar El Ghazi got off to an impressive start in the claret and blue as he managed to find the back of the net against Sheffield United and provided an assist against Reading.

But, things have gone downhill drastically since then as he just can’t seem to buy a place in the side, with Dean Smith only gifting him 40 minutes on the field since taking charge at Villa Park.

Supporters will be hugely disappointed that the winger failed to ensure consistency after a bright start to life in the Midlands, as they could have found themselves in a much better position right now.
