Arsenal fans in the Transfer Tavern almost fell of their bar stools in shock this morning, after they were alerted to reports that state one of their experienced internationals could be lured away from the club.
Costa Rican international Campbell has struggled for game time during his Gunners career, spending time on-loan in France, Greece and Spain. However, this term injury problems have handed him a chance in the first-team.
He’s taken the opportunities with both hands, scoring two goals in ten appearances, to impress his manager and the punters across the tavern. However, it seems unlikely he will stay first-choice when the injured contingent return to the limelight.
Galatasaray are hopeful they can use this to their advantage but our landlord believes it’s selling Campbell in January would be premature, especially given his performances this term, and they should wait until the summer at least.
