Everton and West Ham are both interested in Arsenal striker Gabriel Jesus and could move for the player in January. Injuries have hampered Jesus’ time at Arsenal, with his most recent injury expected to keep him on the sideline until late in 2025.
He suffered an ACL tear in January of 2025 and has yet to feature for Arsenal since. Arsenal seemingly confirmed his prolonged absence when manager Mikel Arteta left Jesus out of his squad for this season’s Champions League.
Jesus is now understood to be considering his future ahead of next summer’s World Cup. The 28-year-old is prepared to leave Arsenal if it means more first team football, and TransferFeed has reported that both Everton and West Ham have made enquiries to Arsenal about a potential January move the player.
Both clubs believe Jesus would add experience and quality to their ranks, and would be willing to splash the cash in January if the price is right. He has two years remaining on his current deal with Arsenal and has a reported value of around €32m.
The player’s massive wages may prove to be a stumbling block however, as he earns £265,000-a-week. Arsenal are keen to get his wages off the books and Jesus would likely have to take a pay cut to push through a move.
Arsenal prepared to sell Jesus

The player’s future was cast into doubt when Kai Havertz emerged as Arsenal’s first choice No.9 last season. This summer’s arrival of Viktor Gyokeres pushes Jesus even further down the pecking order, with the Swede now leading the line.
Arteta has even deployed midfielder Mikel Merino as an emergency striker at times, suggesting he is prepared for life without Jesus. Jesus also has admirers from his home country, where Flamengo are circling his situation.
He is understood be weighing up a return to his homeland as he believes it would enhance his visibility to Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti.
