According to Nicolo Schira, Everton are linked with a move for Napoli’s midfielder Allan, and are preparing to offer the Brazilian a five-year contract.
The Blues are reportedly preparing an offer of €40 million (£37 million) for the 29-year-old, with a wage packet of €6 million (£5.5 million) plus bonuses each year.
Allan has been with the Serie A outfit since 2015, following a move from Udinese for £10.35 million (Transfermarkt). In the summer of last year, the midfielder was valued at an impressive £54 million but has since dropped to £36 million (via Transfermarkt). His performances in the middle of the park this season has left little to be desired, accumulating just one goal and one assist across all competitions (also Transfermarkt).
Many fans are divided over potentially signing the midfielder, with one supporter wanting Allan to come in and replace Idrissa Gana Gueye who left for PSG last summer. However others feel that the price tag is too high and the Brazilian ‘isn’t a Brands signing’.

Not if we get 2-3 solid seasons out of him and bulks players around him. Yes buy for the future, bought we are desperate to replace Gueye now not in the future! Instantly makes our team better! Could get that 40m+ back with a good cup run etc! 100% yes from me
