According to a report from Sky Sports, Everton have apparently reignited their interest in bringing Brazil winger Everton Soares to Goodison Park – with director of football Marcel Brands admitting at the club’s general meeting that they’re looking to sign a right-winger.
Everton, who bagged a decent return of 15 goals and seven assists from the wing for club side Gremio last season (Transfermarkt), was also reportedly being monitored by Arsenal and Spurs at one stage (Sky Sports).
Now, at least according to this piece, Carlo Ancelotti’s side could also be in the hunt to bring the Brazilian to the Premier League. Compared to current Toffees winger Bernard, Everton has surpassed his compatriot in almost every attacking sense – accumulating a superior dribbles (3.1) and shots per game (2.8) ratio whilst also eclipsing him in terms of goals and assists from the flank, as per WhoScored.com.
