Loads of Everton fans have been discussing what they might do if the scenario of Liverpool being able to clinch the Premier League title at Goodison Park materialises.
With the Reds currently sitting 22 points clear at the top of the standings ahead of Manchester City, they need just six more wins to guarantee them their first league title in 30 years. The Toffees stand in their way on 16th March and a win for the visitors could mean a painful afternoon and summer for the Gwladys Street faithful.
Having already lost 5-2 during Marco Silva’s final game in charge and losing 1-0 in the FA Cup to their hated neighbours, optimism isn’t high. The Athletic’s Greg O’Keeffe wrote a piece which stated that season ticket holders are already considering the possibility of either staying away or selling their seat to a Liverpool fan. However, not all supporters agreed as some made their feelings clear on social media. One fan said that those thinking of staying away need to “grow up” and concentrate on supporting the team.

VAR will be in meltdown to make sure it happens for them and this season will only be remembered for worst season in premier league history

I’m just gunna go and support my team and hopefully we can get a good result, nothing more to it, we as a fanbase can’t be putting more pressure on it than there already is, they won it months ago

Deffo got to go, genuinely feel like we could win the game, depends if they park the bus again like they did last year.

Think people need to grow up really.

I will go watch my team play a game of football no matter who the opposition is. I’m too battle scarred to worry about anyone else. Daft thing is it’s getting to a point that our neighbours are forgetting how to lose so when they do it’s all the more painful. ITS ONLY A GAME!
