Everton fans have been singing the praises of defender Mason Holgate following his side’s 1-0 win against Brighton on Saturday.
The Gwladys Street faithful admired the progress that the 22-year-old has made under the guidance of manager Carlo Ancelotti since his arrival in December. Brazilian forward Richarlison scored the only goal of the game to ensure that the Toffees got their first win of 2020 and that moved the Blues level on points with Arsenal in 10th place in the Premier League table. After featuring for the entirety of the encounter, Holgate paid tribute to what was a magnificent afternoon’s work.

Sofascore recorded that he made seven clearances, three interceptions, won three out of four of his aerial duels and accumulated a pass success rate of 90%. Supporters were delighted with his showing and with the way his he playing under the three-time Champions League winner and made their feelings clear on social media, with one fan drawing particular praise to the ‘snide factor’…
