Everton: Fans laud links to Abdoulaye Doucoure and Ibrahim Sangare

Plenty of Everton fans have been lauding the latest transfer links to both Watford ace Abdoulaye Doucoure and Toulouse man Ibrahim Sangare as the Daily Express have reported that they are among the options for Carlo Ancelotti to strengthen in the middle of the park.

Doucoure has been the subject of interest from the Merseyside club before in this summer window, but Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal are also said to be interested in his services.

The Toffees were also linked to Sangare back in May, but may face competition from Steve Bruce’s Newcastle United for his signature.

Both central midfield players could be seen as perhaps a cheaper alternative to SSC Napoli midfielder Allan, as the Blues are reportedly close to reaching an agreement to sign him, but he would cost a quite whopping £49.18 million in total when you take into account the potential transfer fee and wages.

Comparing the stats of all three men in their respective domestic leagues in the 2019/20 season, Doucoure and Sangare actually averaged more interceptions, clearances, blocks, shots, key passes and dribbles per game, according to Whoscored.
