Plenty of Everton fans have been lauding the signing of Poppy Pattinson as she has swapped Bristol City Women for Everton Women.
As per the official website of the Merseyside club, the 20-year old has left the West Country after two seasons as she came to the end of her deal with the Toffees’ Women’s Super League (WSL) rivals, mirroring the path of Lucy Graham, who is now the captain of the Blues.

Pattinson has now signed a contract of two years at EFC’s Women’s team in time for the start of the 2020/21 campaign in the WSL, as the last term was unfortunately ended because of the global pandemic outbreak that swept across the footballing world.
The left-back, originally from Durham, has also played for Sunderland Ladies and Manchester City Women and has represented England at Under-17, Under-19 and Under-21 level.

These supporters lauded the transfer news on Twitter, with one fan perhaps sarcastically stating that ‘Carlo needs a midfielder’, referring to Ancelotti who currently manages the men’s side:
