Many Everton fans have reacted to news of a potential €20m (£17.4m) bid for Barcelona central defender Jean-Clair Todibo.
The 20-year-old French centre-back is currently playing his football away from parent club Barca, on loan with Bundesliga side Schalke.
Appearing regularly for the German side prior to football’s postponement, it looked likely that Todibo could complete a permanent move to the club with a €25m option built in his loan agreement.

However, that now seems unlikely with the break in football due to the recent pandemic having had a significant financial strain on some clubs.
Everton have now emerged as a potential suitor for the former Toulouse man with Spanish daily Sport claiming they are ‘close’ to agreeing a deal with Barca. Todibo’s potential arrival would hand Carlo Ancelotti a good option at centre-back, joining the likes of Mason Holgate, Yerry Mina and Michael Keane.

Such a deal is said to be moving forward with a healthy relationship between Barca and Everton, having already negotiated deals for Andre Gomes, Mina and Lucas Digne, who all now play their football at Goodison Park.
