After signing from Barcelona, following a season where the club topped La Liga and also won the Copa Del Rey, there is almost an expectation that at a player’s next club upon leaving the Catalan giants, they will continue to contend for, and win silverware. That is the case with Everton defender Yerry Mina. The Colombian had been sidelined since the start of the season, prior to making his debut against Brighton and Hove Albion last weekend where he came on as a last-minute substitute. Mina could now make his full debut at home to Chelsea this weekend, and ahead of the game, he has made some ambitious comments that have Everton fans talking.
Yerry Mina: “I want to win a trophy and have a great season.”

With that in mind, let’s see what the Goodison Park faithful make of Mina’s thoughts.
A couple of Everton fan saw the comments as a target that can be worked towards with such intentions from Mina.
Let’s win the FA Cup!!

Another Everton fan was as hopeful as Mina, but with a hint of sarcasm.
Don’t we all mate

One fan did make the point that despite Everton not winning a trophy recently, on the other side of the city, Jurgen Klopp brings no guarantee of success either.

One other fan couldn’t get their head around how amused Liverpool fans were by the tweet.
