Everton fans have been looking back on the career of left-back Leighton Baines as he celebrated his 34th birthday on Wednesday.
The Englishman has been at the club since 2007 and has become one of Goodison Park’s longest-serving tenants in recent years.

After signing from Wigan Athletic for £5m, the quality and characteristics that he has brought to the team over the years have made him become a fan-favourite, with some believing that he deserves a place in the Team of the Decade.

Baines has been the club’s penalty taker for several years, scoring 26 spot-kicks and missing just three in his career.
Supporters applauded the happy and prolonged career that the Kirby-born defender has had with the Blues and made their feelings clear about him on social media.
