Everton: Fans rubbish rumours of Zlatan Ibrahimovic approach

Everton fans have dismissed rumours that the Toffees are interested in bringing in former Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

The Merseyside club are believed to have contacted infamous agent Mino Raiola over a surprise January move for the free agent. The former Sweden international left LA Galaxy in November after spending 19 months in North America, with a return to Europe thought to be in his sights.

Ibrahimovic has been linked with a return to AC Milan and a switch to Napoli, however, he hinted in an Instagram post (via Daily Express) that he could return to Spain, having also played for Barcelona.

He has played for many high-calibre sides, such as Paris Saint-Germain, Inter Milan, Juventus and Ajax.

Area Napoli claimed that Everton have reached out to Ibrahimovic’s agent and expressed their interest in the Swede’s services.

Supporters were not blown away by the reports of Ibrahimovic and made their feelings clear on social media.
