Everton: Fans slam Carlo Ancelotti comments on ‘tough’ Christmas period

Many Everton fans have been slamming some comments made by Carlo Ancelotti ahead of the next set of fixtures over the Christmas period for the Goodison Park faithful.

Speaking to the Merseyside club’s official website, the Italian boss said: “We have to be ready for this tough period.”

A lot of Toffees have taking this in a negative way by claiming that Ancelotti should have gotten the team ready for the previous set of fixtures, a run that saw them win just one game in the Premier League last month.

The Blues now face tests against Chelsea, Leicester City, Arsenal, Manchester United, Sheffield United and Manchester City in December, and some EFC supporters are now wondering as to how many points Ancelotti will get from those games.

These fans slammed the comments made by Ancelotti on Twitter, with one Blue even claiming that the Toffees ‘need Duncan Ferguson back’, who beat Chelsea in his first match in charge, with Frank Lampard’s side the next up for them:

Tightening up things at the back only now a priority?
Has it really taken a year to figure that out . Let’s hope he can, otherwise we will have less points than this time a year ago

How about close down properly not 3 yrds away, play a LB at LB Nkounkou, a RB at RB Kenny, and give it 110% , we beat Chelsea at home last season btw! Ask Duncan he will tell you!
