Everton: Fans think Anthony Gordon should go out on loan

Anthony Gordon Everton

Some Everton fans are in agreement that Anthony Gordon needs to go out on loan after replying to some comments he made on the club’s official website.

The England U20 international claimed that he needs to improve on being a ‘consistently reliable defender’ for the Goodison Park faithful, which is what Carlo Ancelotti has told him.

The midfielder, valued at £4.5m by Transfermarkt, also added that that is his ‘weakness’ and it is up to him to improve upon it and be ‘harder to beat’.

Based on these comments, some supporters of the Merseyside club have suggested that a loan move away from the Toffees may be of great benefit to Gordon, as he could then work on his game and improve on his physicality.

The 19-year-old has only played in a mere seven matches in all competitions in the 2020/21 term so far, playing the full 90 minutes just once (Transfermarkt), and so a loan move may give him a better opportunity to improve.
