Fabrizio Romano has dropped a very big transfer bombshell involving Everton and their pursuit of Sami Khedira.
The Goodison Park faithful are reportedly leading the race to sign the central midfield player in the upcoming January transfer window, and the Italian football journalist and transfer guru, in response to a fan on Twitter, tweeted that the German star ‘would love to play again with Ancelotti’.
Ancelotti knows how to get the best out of Khedira
Ancelotti knows how to get the best out of Khedira given that the 33-year-old played 35 games under the Italian boss in all competitions over two consecutive terms at Real Madrid, scoring one goal and making one assist (Transfermarkt).
Would Khedira be a good signing by Everton?
He could provide some useful cover for the likes of Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure in the heart of the midfield if either were to get injured, suspended or even out of form for a sustained period of time.
Khedira would also offer a lot of valuable experience to the Merseyside club, having won both the UEFA Champions League and the FIFA World Cup with Germany and Real Madrid respectively.
The Juventus man can also still be ‘world-class’ on his day too, and would no doubt be wanting to prove that he can still move in and around the pitch even at the age that he is at now.
