Mo Besic has made a decision on his future at Everton amid interest from Rangers in the summer transfer window.
Indeed, the Bosnia international looked set to move to Steven Gerrard’s team on loan for the rest of the 2020/21 term, but a move never materialised.
Should Everton sell Besic?
Besic has also recently been left out of the Toffees’ 25-man squad for the Premier League season, suggesting that he needs to move away from Merseyside if he is to obtain regular first team football.
However, the 28-year-old will not push for a move to a club still with an open transfer window and will instead wait until the January transfer window before deciding whether he wants to move on, as per the Liverpool Echo.
Besic has proven his qualities
Indeed, Besic has proven his qualities before, having shown his desire to get stuck into duels by winning 2.4 of his per match in the Premier League last season while on loan at Sheffield United (Sofascore).
The defensive midfielder also stunned many pundits while on international duty in the 2014 World Cup, as he impressed while given the job to mark Lionel Messi (Goal).
Besic may need to leave Everton
However, Besic has not played a single game for the Merseyside club since 2017, so perhaps it is not a surprise that he has been omitted from Carlo Ancelotti’s 25-man top-flight squad.
Thus, it may be a wise idea for the midfielder to move on from the Toffees in January.
