Lots of Everton fans have been left raging over some transfer news that has emerged on Sean Longstaff.

As per a report from earlier on in the week by The Chronicle, which has since been shared by The Toffee Blues on their Twitter page, Longstaff, who was valued at £10m in the summer by Newcastle United, is now wanted by the Goodison Park faithful, as well as other clubs around Europe, ahead of the January transfer window.

With just one goal and no assists to show for the Magpies so far this season (Transfermarkt), Longstaff is not a player that is particularly lethal when he gets in front of goal from midfield.

Comparing his stats to the likes of Abdoulaye Doucoure and Allan in the Premier League this term, the Englishman has averaged fewer clearances, key passes and dribbles per game (WhoScored), suggesting that he would not be an upgrade on what the Merseyside club have already got anyway.
