Everton fans have debated the club’s potential summer transfer plans with many claiming they would prefer to see players with ‘winning mentalities’ join the club.
Italian boss Carlo Ancelotti will seemingly be keen to bring in his own transfer targets this summer as he attempts to break up the Premier League top four and improve on Everton’s campaign this time round.
Replacing Portuguese coach Marco Silva in December, Ancelotti has worked his hardest to develop consistent form, utilising players signed by Silva and former boss Ronald Koeman over recent seasons.
Silva spent an incredible amount of money last summer, bringing in players such as Alex Iwobi (Arsenal), Moise Kean (Juventus), Andre Gomes (Barcelona) and Jean-Philippe Gbamin (Mainz), who all contributed to a total of £107.9m being spent.
Despite the four aforementioned players doing well at their former clubs, little has been seen of their talents this in an Everton shirt this term, although Gomes can be excused given his injury earlier in the campaign.
After seeing such big money spent, Everton fans will be eagerly anticipating Ancelotti’s summer moves, and that has led them to join in a debate via Twitter fan account @TheGwladysSt.

It’s a fair shout, I suppose there is pros and cons to both. Where you may end up with a Sigurdsson, you could get a Van Dijk or Mane. Where you may get a Digne, you could also end up with a Delph or a Schneiderlin.

Rather develop our own at Finch Farm! To be fair – we’ve done both of the options and had success/failures with both. All about recruiting to the system and getting players that fit.
