Responding to an announcement by Everton’s official Twitter account, many Toffees supporters have been in uproar over the Goodison Park club’s decision to join Tik Tok as part of their growing social media presence online.
Carlo Ancelotti’s side, who have been on a recent resurgence since the Italian’s appointment back in late December, are currently unbeaten in their last eight games whilst only losing to Premier League champions Manchester City in that time. The Toffees, since their 1-0 victory over Burnley (Ancelotti’s debut game), have won five out of their last eight in the league, scoring 12 goals in the process.
However, just as things were starting to look up, these supporters disliked Everton’s incentive to join ever-growing social media platform Tik Tok in order to boost their presence online. The site acts as a video creator for users, amassing over 1.5 billion worldwide downloads so far and looking set to increase further in popularity (Business Insider).
However, these Toffees fans don’t see the benefit in joining the app whatsoever, with one labelling the announcement as ‘awful‘. Here’s what they had to say on Twitter.
