Fernando Torres has been the talk of the Football Transfer Tavern this weekend and after his appearance at the charity game at Anfield we cannot blame our punters.
The forward made the controversial switch from Liverpool to Chelsea and while he may be able to boast a very impressive trophy haul from his time at Stamford Bridge, he became a figure of fun and ridicule and never managed to get the Chelsea fans on board – not that we can blame them after his performance in a blue shirt or anything!
The Liverpool crown meanwhile sung his name and gave him a hero’s reception during the Carragher v Gerrard face off and Torres took to Instagram to show his appreciation.
