The first Old Firm derby of the season is just a few days away, and Glasgow Rangers fans will be feeling optimistic going into the match.
The Gers have had a fantastic start to the campaign. So far, they are unbeaten in all competitions, having won 11 and drawn two of their opening 13 matches. They currently sit top of the Premiership, although Celtic do have a game in hand – if the Ibrox outfit can win this weekend against their fierce rivals, though, they will remain top, even if the Bhoys win that extra match.

With this being the biggest game in Scotland, the build-up is like nothing else – everything is scrutinised. Even the most mundane of stories can make headlines, and that is exactly what has happened in regards to some news about Allan McGregor. The Scottish Sun has revealed that the goalkeeper’s dog escaped from McGregor’s house and was caught prowling his neighbours’ gardens.

This is far from exciting news – you could argue that it isn’t even newsworthy. As such, the Gers fans have expressed their anger at the publication of it, and they have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts.
Let’s see what the Rangers fans had to say about the piece

What a truly pathetic example of journalism. Whoever wrote this tripe really needs to look themselves in the mirror and consider the choices that brought them to this stage.
