Manchester City are continuing their march towards the Premier League title this season, and despite seeing their winning run come to an end against Palace last week, they picked back up by dismantling Watford at the Etihad in midweek.
The Citizens have been playing some breathtaking football of late and are putting in performances which are like something we have never seen in the Premier League before.
January represents a time when City fans always get excited, with the club always willing to spend big and bring in new players, and our landlord thinks there might well be one or two additions this month.
However, despite plenty of talk about Alexis Sanchez, our gaffer thinks that the only man City can go and sign who will really improve the first XI is Real Madrid winger Gareth Bale, who has been rumoured to be on for a move back to England for quite some time now.
The Welsh wizard is one of few genuinely world class players who could be available to buy, and he would simply be a stunning addition to the squad at City.
While Leroy Sane has been doing a tremendous job down the left and Raheem Sterling the same down the right, Bale would bring an increased presence to both positions, while he also offer the ability to play down the middle with his height and power causing problems. Add this to his excellent delivery from dead balls and ability to drift past players with ease, and City would have one of the most accomplished attackers in the world on their hands.
