Fulham are a club in real danger. The Cottagers have been a permanent fixture of the relegation zone since October 20th when they fell unto the bottom three after suffering a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Cardiff. However, with January a chance to bring in some men to plug their leaky defence, the fans are fuming that they’ve signed Lazar Markovic.

In their 24 games so far this season in the Premier League, Fulham have shipped 54 goals. That is not something to be proud of and if they want to stay in the English top flight then that will have to change. At the other end, the 2018 playoff winners have had much better fortunes and have scored 25 goals, more than Newcastle, Huddersfield, Crystal Palace and Cardiff.
Given those stats, the fact that they’ve failed to bring in any sort of defender and have instead prioritised a new winger is an absolute disgrace and it’s not at all hard to see why the Craven Cottage faithful are livid with their management. If they had got their wish they wouldn’t have touched Markovic with a barge pole and would have instead gone hell for leather to bring in one or two defenders to sort out their leaky defence.

You made me stay up for this?

Yay that’ll help shore up the worst defence in the whole of Europe.

What an utter shambles – @TonyKhan surely has to walk for this. We desperately needed a right back and end up with yet another winger shocking

Relegation confirmed. Not a single defender. Tony khan has to go.

The Fulham fans who waited up for a last minute deal feel severely let down by this one and will hope they can stay afloat this season by some sort of miracle.
