Fulham have endured a busy summer of change as new head coach Álvaro Arbeloa begins shaping his squad at Craven Cottage.
The club have added several exciting young players, including Gonzalo Garcia and César Palacios from Real Madrid, reuniting Arbeloa with two talents he previously worked with, while striker Jonah Kusi-Asare has also arrived from Bayern Munich.
There has been plenty of movement in the opposite direction too, with Raúl Jiménez returning to Wolves, Harry Wilson joining Leeds United and Issa Diop completing a move to newly promoted Ipswich Town.
Now, another Fulham player appears set to make the move to Portman Road.
Fulham In Talks to Sell Lukic
According to Sky Sports News’ Dharmesh Sheth and James Cole, Ipswich Town are in advanced negotiations with Fulham over a permanent deal for midfielder Sasa Lukic.
The transfer is reportedly close to being completed, with the Serbia international expected to undergo a medical within the next 24 to 48 hours.
Lukic joined Fulham from Torino in 2023 and went on to become a reliable presence in Marco Silva’s midfield. The 29-year-old made more than 70 appearances for the club across all competitions, offering defensive discipline, energy and experience in the centre of the pitch.
However, with Arbeloa looking to put his own stamp on the squad, Lukic now appears ready for a new challenge.
Fulham are already preparing for his departure, with the club in talks to sign Shea Charles from Southampton as a potential replacement in the defensive midfield role.
