Fulham’s campaign has quietly developed into one of the more impressive stories in the Premier League this season.
Marco Silva’s side sit 10th in the table, have picked up several eye-catching results along the way — including a statement win over rivals Chelsea — and look comfortably clear of any relegation concerns.
Key figures have stepped up across the pitch. Harry Wilson has led the way creatively, Raul Jiménez is showing signs of rediscovering his sharpness in front of goal, and Joachim Andersen continues to provide calm authority at the heart of defence.
One of the most eye-catching contributors, though, has been a temporary arrival — and Fulham now appear ready to make that move permanent.
Fulham to Make Chukwueze’s Move Permanent
Fulham are increasingly expected to trigger their £21 million option to sign Samuel Chukwueze outright from AC Milan, according to a report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Italian outlet claims Milan are confident the Cottagers will press ahead with the deal, with Chukwueze’s impact in west London convincing all parties that a permanent switch makes sense. Fulham’s current league position and stability only strengthen the likelihood of the clause being activated.
The 26-year-old Nigeria international has made a strong impression during his loan spell, registering three goals and four assists across all competitions. That return is particularly notable given his time away at AFCON and a couple of minor injury interruptions during the campaign.
Chukwueze has drawn praise from those who know him best, with international teammate Bright Osayi-Samuel previously describing him as a “quality” player — a label he has more than justified with his direct running, pace and end product on the right flank.
For Fulham, making Chukwueze’s move permanent would feel like smart, low-risk business. He’s already settled, contributing consistently, and fits Silva’s system well. At £21m, the fee looks reasonable in today’s market — and if his current trajectory continues, the winger could become a long-term asset at Craven Cottage rather than just a successful short-term loan.
