Glasgow Rangers was where it all started for Charlie Adam.
The midfielder broke onto the scene at Ibrox in 2003, and went on to play 85 times in all competitions for the 54-time Scottish champions. Along the way, he managed 18 goals, and that would be enough to convince English side Blackpool to sign him for a fee of £531,000.

From there, he moved to Liverpool after scoring 12 goals and providing a further eight assists in the Seasiders’ one and only season in the Premier League, with the Reds paying £7.56m. After leaving Anfield, he played for Stoke City and Reading, before his contract ran out at the latter recently.
Adam is clearly back in Glasgow, as he showed in Twitter – he shared a photo of Ibrox with the caption: “Where it all started @RangersFC”. This has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and it is fair to say that they do not want him to return to the club – perhaps they feel that, at 34 years old, his best days are behind him.
