Greg Docherty has completed a move from Glasgow Rangers to Hull City.
A move for the 23-year-old had been on the cards ever since Steven Gerrard confirmed that he could leave this summer if the Gers received a bid they believed to be acceptable. As such, he has signed a three-year deal with the Tigers, with the Ibrox outfit earning £400,000 – that is still considerably less than the £671,000 they paid to Hamilton Academical.

Whilst he never had many chances to prove himself, he still amassed six assists in 19 games for the club, with him managing 13 goals and 16 assists combined whilst on loan at Shrewsbury and Hibernian.

On Thursday evening, he shared an emotional message on Twitter and thanked the Gers supporters for their support. This attracted the attention of the fans themselves, and they also took the opportunity to wish the midfielder well. They took to the social media platform to do so, and you can see some of the best comments below.
Good luck and hope you prove gerrard wrong. Never given a fair chance. Go smash it 🔴⚪🔵

Genuinely gutted to see you go. Personally I thought you were exactly what we needed the other day. Energy, drive and an eye for a goal now and again. All the best for your future career pal!

Everytime I watched you I was impressed and never felt you were given a proper chance, personally I am disappointed that two young Scottish players who I very much hope that at some stage represent our country have been let go. I wish both yourself & Ross all the success.🏴
