Glasgow Rangers: Fans unhappy with fixture change announcement

Glasgow Rangers have had a very promising start to the new Premiership campaign.

As it stands, they are top of the table, having won four and drawn one of their first five matches – remarkably, they are yet to concede a goal. Not only that, they are also six points ahead of their fierce rivals Celtic – they could hardly have wished for a better start.

The Ibrox outfit have some big games coming up in September and October – they will face second-placed Hibs, last season’s third-placed club Motherwell, whilst they will also play the Bhoys in the first Old Firm of the season. All three will be away from home.

The Gers are a big draw in terms of television ratings, and the SPFL and Sky have confirmed that all three of those matches will be moved to early afternoon kick-offs. This has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and they do not seem too happy – they appear to believe that these matches are too early, and that there could be a risk of playing Celtic so early on a Saturday.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
