Glasgow Rangers: Fans want to sign Daler Kuzyaev

Glasgow Rangers are said to be targeting Russia international Daler Kuzyaev according to reports in his home country (as per The Scottish Sun).

The speculation says that the Gers are interested in the 27-year-old who could be signed on a free transfer. The Ibrox outfit are not the only side interested in him, though, with Marseille, Besiktas and Alaves all in pursuit. However, it is the 54-time Scottish champions who are said to be leading the race for his services, with him fitting the profile of what Steven Gerrard is looking for.

Valued at £7.2m by Transfermarkt, Kuzyaev has appeared 21 times for his country, scoring one goal, whilst he managed 12 strikes in 94 matches for Zenit St. Petersburg, who he recently left. He could be a very good signing for Gerrard.

Daler Kuzyaev is an interesting one. Anyone who has played 64 times for Zenit St Petersburg & has 21 international caps, can play. Still only 27, but would bring some real experience to our midfield. If we can get him on a free, there’s really not much to dislike about it 🔴⚪️🔵
