Glasgow Rangers: Fans want their club to sign Jack Wilshere

Glasgow Rangers left it late to finish their transfer business on deadline day.

The Gers had been continually linked with Bongani Zungu throughout the window, with the deal first looking to have fallen apart before it was revived at the last second. Finally, the South Africa international signed on an initial loan deal with the option for a permanent move next summer.

Whilst the window for transfers may have passed, clubs can still move to bring in players who are currently out of contract, and on deadline day itself a rather big name made himself available to any club on a free. Jack Wilshere confirmed that he and West Ham have decided to cancel his contract.

This news appears to have delighted the Gers supporters, and it seems they would love to have the £4.32m-valued 28-year-old (as per Transfermarkt) at Ibrox. One fan even suggested he could have a similar impact to that of Paul Gascoigne, who won four trophies during a three-year spell north of the border.
