Glasgow Rangers’ preparations for the new season are well underway, and they have been busy in the transfer market as they look to put a squad together capable of winning a first major piece of silverware since 2011.

The Gers have signed Ianis Hagi for £3m, whilst they have also brought in Jon McLaughlin, Calvin Bassey, Charlie Lindsay and James Graham. The Ibrox outfit have also been linked with moves for the likes of Ivan Toney and Lyndon Dykes, which would indicate that they still have money to spend.
However, the same cannot be said for all the clubs in Scotland, and not even in the top tier. It has been revealed that Aberdeen’s players and staff have agreed to wage cuts that will save the club a further £1m, with their funding gap reduced from £10m to £3.8m.

This news has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and it appears some would be interested in signing Lewis Ferguson and Sam Cosgrove. Indeed, they have previously been linked with a raid for Ferguson (The Scottish Sun) whilst Cosgrove’s impressive goal record last season has obviously caught the eye (Transfermarkt), although one fan may be being ambitious when suggesting they could buy the latter for £500k, given his value is currently £900k.
