Glasgow Rangers: Fans rage at 2020/21 campaign comments

Glasgow Rangers and the rest of the clubs in Scottish football will now be looking forward to the next season as the 2019/20 campaign was brought to a premature end.

That was a decision that did not please the Gers, as they fought to keep the term alive and finish it on the pitch, but the general consensus was that it was not safe to end the campaign – even though the majority of European leagues have since returned to play the rest of their respective games.

There has been chaos in Scottish football recently, with the Ibrox outfit accusing the SPFL of corruption and talk of reconstruction, but now eyes must be cast forward. SPFL secretary Iain Blair has been discussing the potential fixture list moving forward, and he says that some clubs may need to play four games in eight days next term.

This has attracted the attention of the Gers supporters, and it is fair to say they are far from happy – one fan even called it a “farce”. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.

When Rangers FC controlled the SFA we never had any of these issues. Celtic FC even won 9iar without a huge asterisk back in those days. But ever since Celtic FC started running the show back from 2008 onwards it’s been nothing short of a shambles ! 🤔
