The defender signed for the Gers in the summer of 2011 for £450,00, and would go on to spend just one term at the club before making the switch to Spezia Calcio. All in all, he made just 42 appearances for the Ibrox outfit, but he is still remembered fondly in Glasgow despite the length of his spell there.
He retired in July 2016, and actually previously manager Sucueva. Now, he has returned to his hometown club, leaving his previous job at Bucov Radauti to take up this new role.

So far, he is yet to win anything as a manager, spending his career to date in the third tier of Romanian football. However, a return to a club with which he has an emotional attachment may perhaps work in both his and the team’s favour. Sucueva, at least, are one of the better sides in their division, having finished second in the league and just missing out on potential promotion.
Gers fans will be wishing him will with his next endeavour either way.
