Former Glasgow Rangers goalkeeper Andy Goram is one of the greatest shot-stoppers to grace the Scottish game.
He spent seven years with the Gers between 1991 and 1998 after they paid £1m to take him to Ibrox from Hibernian, and he would go on to make well over 200 appearances for the club. He played for the Glasgow outfit during a very successful spell in their history, helping them win five Scottish titles, three Scottish Cups as well as two Scottish League Cups.

Craig Gordon has been a good goalkeeper in more recent years, having appeared for Hearts, Sunderland and now Celtic during a long career, but few would compare him to Goram. However, that is exactly what Steven Pressley has done, saying that he thinks he is a better goalkeeper than the now-retired 56-year-old (Edinburgh Evening News via The Scottish Sun).

Pressley’s comments have attracted the attention from the Gers supporters, and they are absolutely flabbergasted by the quotes – one fan even called it a “ridiculous statement”. They have taken to Twitter to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below.
Can someone please check in on Steven Pressley. I’m worried about his state of mind #LostThePlot pic.twitter.com/mDXAah81Dk

Steven Pressley saying Craig Gordon is better than Andy Goram, this is coming from a man who’s failed at every job he’s been given

Think even before lockdown Pressley has never been the brightest absolute laughable to even make the same comparison even with McGregor it’s no contest as well. Gordon is a decent keeper but thats it nowhere near same class as McGregor never mind Goram
