Glasgow Rangers: Fans unhappy with Scottish Cup decision

Glasgow Rangers’ preparations for the 2020/21 campaign are well underway.

The Ibrox outfit have already been to France and left with a pre-season trophy – the ‘Gers won the Veolia Trophy, in which Celtic also participated, after beating Lyon and Nice 2-0. There is now less than two weeks before their first game of the new Premiership season against Aberdeen.

Of course, the previous campaign was ended prematurely due to the current pandemic – something which demonstrably angered the 54-time Scottish champions. However, despite the league campaign being brought to a close, it has been confirmed that the 2019/20 Scottish Cup semi-finals and final will be played this coming season as well.

Whilst the ‘Gers may no longer be in the competition, this has attracted plenty of attention from some of the club’s supporters. They have taken to Twitter to share their displeasure – one fan even called it an “absolute shambles of a decision” – and you can see some of the best comments from the social media platform below:
