Glasgow Rangers’ plans for the new season are well underway.
The Gers will kick off their domestic campaign with a trip to Pittodrie to face Aberdeen on August 1st, and Steven Gerrard’s side have already had a successful pre-season, winning the Veolia Trophy after beating Nice and Lyon 2-0. Now, the Ibrox outfit will be looking to try and win their first piece of major silverware since 2011.

However, this only comes after plenty of difficulties with the SPFL – the Gers accused the governing body of corruption following their handling of the resolution proposal, whilst they even demanded an eventually quashed investigation into the authority – the relationship between the two is rocky to say the least.
The SPFL have made a power play recently, asking clubs for the jurisdiction to make decisions without votes over anything related to the current pandemic – however, it now appears that the sides will not allow them to do so, which seems to have pleased the 54-time Scottish champions’ supporters.
