According to The Scottish Sun, Hibernian have made an improved bid for Ross McCrorie, and the 22-year-old is keen on the move.
McCrorie spent last season out on loan at Portsmouth, and it looks as if he is not in Steven Gerrard’s plans at the moment – the boss himself has even said that he and Greg Docherty can leave if a good enough bid comes in.

Hibs already made one offer, which was rejected, and they have now returned with a new bid. McCrorie is believed to be eager to move to Edinburgh.
The first offer for the midfielder was said to be £200,000 – given he is valued at £810,000 by Transfermarkt, that fee is surely nowhere near what the Ibrox outfit will be looking for.
However, should Hibs put in a good enough offer, his departure would be the best for all involved. Gerrard’s recent comments suggest he has no future with the 54-time Scottish champions, and the last thing he needs is another loan, especially at his age.

If he does depart, he will be able to join a new club, whilst the Gers themselves will receive a healthy fee that they can perhaps put to use to strengthen their squad. It would be a win-win situation for all involved.
