As per Het Laatste Nieuws (via Anderlecht Online), Glasgow Rangers have had a bid for Kemar Roofe rejected.
The Gers had been linked with a move for the former Leeds United striker, who made the switch to Belgium for £5.4m last summer.

Now, it has been reported they have actually made an offer for the 27-year-old, with them asking for a loan with a purchase option. Anderlecht have declined this bid.
If the Gers want to sign Roofe, they will have to do far better than this. £5.4m is a considerable amount of money to spend on one player, especially in Belgium – the highest-ever fee paid by a Jupiler League outfit is £10.57m. Roofe has also not done too badly for Anderlecht, either, scoring seven goals in his first 16 games for the club in all competitions.

The Gers are believed to be in a strong financial position at the moment – if they really want Roofe, then they at least have the money to make some kind of offer. £5.4m may still be beyond them, but if Alfredo Morelos were to leave, for example, they would have more than enough cash to make a real move – they are looking for £15m for the Colombia international.
Ross Wilson will know that this kind of offer is not going to cut it.
