Bill Struth is quite probably the greatest manager Glasgow Rangers have ever had.
He spent 34 years at the club between 1920 and 1954, helping to navigate the side through two World Wars along the why. He was incredibly successful on the pitch as well, winning a huge 18 Scottish titles, 10 Scottish Cups and two Scottish League Cups by the time he retired – a truly astonishing achievement that will likely never be matched.

However, whilst Walter Smith may not be able to challenge Struth, he is still a true Gers legend in his own right. During two spells at Ibrox, he won 10 league titles, five Scottish Cups and six Scottish League Cups, writing himself into the history books in the process.

This month marks the 100th anniversary of Struth’s appointment as Gers manager, and as part of the plans to celebrate that, Smith gave an interview in which he spoke about the influence Struth had on the club. The Gers shared this on their official Twitter page, and it is fair to say the supporters absolutely love the video. They have taken to the social media platform to share their thoughts, and you can see some of the best comments below.

I just love Walter man so much, great to listen to him as always. It’s so good a top class talking about another top class manager at the same club. We’ve been majorly lucky in our history to have so many sensational managers. https://t.co/GC7i5C0tde
