As per Nettavisen, Glasgow Rangers are interested in Rosenborg BK striker Emanuel Kulego.

The Gers are said to be eyeing the 18-year-old, even though he is yet to make an appearance for his current club’s senior first team.

The Ibrox outfit are not the only side interested in the teenager, with Brendan Rodgers – the former manager of Celtic – and Leicester City also linked.

Although there appears to be plenty of hype around Kulego, it is hard to see exactly what has people so excited. He has scored one goal in seven games for Rosenborg’s second team, who play in the third tier, so far this season, while he has failed to score in eight caps for Norway’s U17s.

There has been a certain transfer policy change at Ibrox so far this season, with the club targetting a number of youngsters such as Charlie Lindsay and James Graham, and so maybe this is another example of an attempt from the Ibrox outfit to invest in their youth system. However, surely they can do better than Kulego who, it seems, needs plenty more time to develop in a familiar environment.
