Aston Villa fans in the Transfer Tavern are still celebrating their club’s rampant 4-1 victory over top of the table Wolves in Saturday’s late kickoff in the Championship. The Villain’s scored with all four of their shots on target as three second-half goals without reply saw them thrash Nuno Espirito Santo’s Wolves at Villa Park.

Aston Villa fans have had a lot of joy recently as they look to chase down Cardiff in the Championship’s automatic promotion places. If Steve Bruce can keep the club performing the way they did on Saturday then it’ll only be a matter of time before the Birmingham club makes a return to England’s top flight. Whilst Villa fans will no doubt still be enjoying their win on Saturday, they’ll have to have on eye on tomorrow’s visit of QPR to Villa Park.
Bruce’s side finds themselves just four points away from Neil Warnock’s Cardiff and with ten games left in the Championship season, there’s no room for complacency among the Villa dressing room. The Villains propping our bar up will be hoping that they can reinstate themselves as a Premier League club come the end of the season as the competition really starts to heat up in the final few months of another close-fought Championship season.
