Spanish club Alaves could sign West Ham United goalkeeper Roberto Jimenez on a permanent basis in the summer, that is according to a report from Gasteiz Hoy via @whufc_news.
The 33-year-old joined the La Liga outfit on loan until the end of the campaign in January after a string of poor performances in the Premier League for the Hammers. Indeed, in just seven starts in the competition, he conceded 16 goals (Transfermarkt) whilst saving just 68% of shots against him and making two errors which led directly to a goal against (SofaScore).
However according to the report, Alaves have been happy with him since he joined last month, that is despite the fact that he is yet to feature at all for them so far (Transfermarkt). And they would consider making his loan move permanent, but only if the Hammers let him go for free.
It seems that most West Ham fans would be more than happy to let the shot-stopper leave for nothing in the summer, with many taking to Twitter to urge the club to let him go at the end of the season. Here is what some had to say…
Do it even a free is too much for him

Just get rid who cares if it’s for free . Dont want a situation to happen where all our gk get injured or suspended and he has to put the west ham Jersey on again .
