Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern wouldn’t change much about their season at the moment though they’ve not been impressed by the latest Manager of the Month award.
The Magpies have been flying this season and after beating Brighton and Huddersfield and getting a good draw at Reading, they’re firmly in the driving seat in the title race.
Indeed, Rafa Benitez deserves credit for the job he has done recently but it was Huddersfield’s David Wagner who actually won the Manager of the Month award for February.
And, with Newcastle beating the Yorkshire based club in March, the Magpies fans feel it certainly could have been a different winner of the award had they done it in February.
They’re far from impressed, then, and so here is some of the best of the reaction on Twitter:

fine by me, only one prize required this year. Let these lesser teams go on a run that gets attention #allaboutthepoints

@lee_ryder fair play to him if he managed to get 16 points from 5 games
