Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern really are looking forward to seeing their side in action this season as they host Tottenham in just over two week’s time.
The men from the north-east have been waiting all summer for this moment and the excitement really is reaching its highest point here by the bar now.
Indeed, they’re hoping their side is going to take some serious scalps this campaign under Rafa Benitez and a win over Spurs to kick things off would certainly represent that.
Signings, meanwhile, are also being hoped for between now and the start of the campaign but, whilst we wait to see who arrives, Lewis Gibson is one player who has left – for Everton.
