Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern cannot wait to see their side get going against Spurs in 2 weekend’s time.
The men from St. James’ Park have been waiting patiently all summer for this moment and now there is just a short amount of time left before they return to Premier League action.
For sure, Rafa Benitez is going to want to see a strong performance from his side against one of the title challengers in the league and he’ll certainly be eager to see his new signings bed in quickly.
Indeed, Benitez has made a fair few signings so far and more could still come in but before we see who arrives next, it looks like Freddie Woodman could be in line for a loan to Hearts, Bury or Northampton – as per Lee Ryder on Twitter:
