Rangers supporters have been in fine voice in the Transfer Tavern in the last few days after seeing their side reclaim second place in the Scottish Premiership courtesy of a 2-1 victory away at Ross County on Sunday afternoon.
Graeme Murty’s men saw Aberdeen leapfrog them in the division on Saturday following their 3-1 success over Kilmarnock at Pittodrie, but the Gers recorded their 14th win of the campaign to move back above Derek McInnes’ side. Goals from Daniel Candeias and Jason Cummings set the visitors on their way to a third victory in four league games, and although the division’s bottom side hit back late on through former Liverpool striker David Ngog, it wasn’t enough to prevent Murty’s side from a crucial three points in their battle to finish ahead of Aberdeen in the Scottish Premiership table.
Thus, there have been many upbeat Rangers fans in the Tavern in recent times, several of whom are quietly optimistic about the second half of the season and what it may bring for their team.
In the meantime though, there has been much for our resident Gers supporters to discuss, not least recent reports suggesting that influential ace Alfredo Morelos has been subject of a big money bid from China.
The 21-year-old has been in scintillating form for the Scottish giants this term with 13 goals and two assists in 27 appearances in all competitions, so much so that he has reportedly attracted interest from China, with an unnamed Chinese Super League club having reportedly launched a £7 million move for the forward.
And this recent news has stimulated quite a response from Rangers fans on Twitter, several of whom are urging the club to stand firm and demand more for the impressive forward…
Morelos is worth £10m in my view Rangers should hold out for that

So rangers turn down a bid of 7 million for morelos, be interesting to find out who the other 46 clubs interested are
— Big Mo (@sevco54) January 30, 2018
So the Morelos story was true then and we knocked back a 5.3 offer and they have came back in with a 6.5 bid. I think we should hold out for 9 million.

Can’t see Morelos going this window but can see him off in the summer. I’d demand 10m. He’s only 21. He’s did so well with our struggling team!
— Rangers Santa (@rangerssanta) January 30, 2018
Rangers should accept no less than 40 million for Morelos, he’s the best in Europe
— Bass (@ross_hughes54) January 30, 2018
About to nod off. Checks phone.
No. No. No. No.
Morelos’s are hard to find. Both what they can achieve for us on the pitch and what they can get for us off it. He’s yet to do even a fraction of what’s possible re the former and £6.5m isn’t enough to punt such a rare find.
— TheRangersGuy (@rangers_guy) January 30, 2018
For the record I don’t think Morelos will leave this window.
— Franky (@RangersFranky) January 30, 2018
Good to see Rangers staying strong with the club interested in Morelos and not accepting the first bid. Hopefully we can fend off interest from the other 23 before the window closes
