Our Newcastle fans here in the Transfer Tavern have certainly had their smiles wiped off of their faces today with the news that has broken.
The Magpies have been going along nicely this season and, of course, confirmed their promotion on Monday night with a comfortable win over Preston.
This week, then, was going to be one of celebration but things seem to have been curtailed with the Magpies being caught up in a police investigation today with raids being carried out at St. James’ Park.
For sure, then, this has ruined the mood somewhat amongst our Magpies at the bar whilst many opposing fans on Twitter have been quick to stick their oar in.
