Our Aston Villa fans here in the Transfer Tavern are trying to remain upbeat – though the start to their season really has challenged that mood.
The men from Villa Park came into this campaign considered one of the favourites for the Championship title but they have undergone a sub-par start for sure.
Indeed, after drawing at home to Hull City – not a terrible result in isolation – things got much worse over the weekend as they lost to Cardiff pretty handsomely.
For sure, then, if Steve Bruce’s players didn’t know that this season was going to be a walk in the park they do now, and so now it’s time they buck their ideas up.
Whilst we wait to see if they do, though, it’s been confirmed that Leandro Bacuna is not going to be a part of things anymore with him off to Reading:
